“Here comes the bride” were the words of the 14 bridesmaids on Shannon’s wedding once the bride arrived to get her hair and makeup done.
On Jan 26, 2019, we participated in Shannon’s wedding. As it is usual, we were contacted by the mother of the bride around 5-month prior to the wedding day. We were contracted to do fourteen bridesmaids’ hair, and the bride’s hair and makeup. But the quantity of integrates on the bridal party was not the challenging part, but the timing was. We needed to get everyone ready by 12 noon and the place where everyone was getting ready was not available until 8 am.
Average time needed for bridal hair and makeup.
The average timing needed to finish the bride’s hair and makeup is around two hours and thirty minutes if there is just one stylist doing it. If there are one makeup artist and one hairdresser it uses to take two hours, one hour for hair, and one hour for makeup. For bridesmaids, the average time is forty-five minutes for the makeup and forty-five minutes for the hair.
On Shannon’s wedding we were doing just hair for the fourteen bridesmaids, for one hairdresser it would take a total of ten hours and fifty minutes without break to get all the bridesmaid’s hairstyle finished. SO, to achieve our goal, we brought five stylists; Ingrid, Dena, Melissa, and Kerrilynne. Two of the stylists did four bridesmaids each which are a total of three hours, and the other two stylists did three bridesmaids each which are a total of two hours and fifteen minutes. The fifth stylist Leyanis was doing the bride’s hair and makeup which took her around two hours and thirty minutes.
Everything went as coordinated. As always, there was time to have fun, laugh, and relax.
By 12 noon the bride, bridesmaids, and the wedding photographer were ready to take pictures.
